AUCloud strengthens Government Relations with senior appointment

AUCloud, a leading provider of Australian sovereign cyber security and cloud services, has announced the appointment of Ms Samantha Maher as Head of Government Relations.

Ms Maher brings over 30 years of experience in government relations, public policy, issues management, and strategic communications to the role.

Throughout her career, Sam has consulted with global leaders across enterprise, government, education and defence industries. AUCloud CEO and Managing Director Peter Maloney welcomed the appointment, noting Sam’s significant experience and accomplishments across both the public and private enterprise sector.

Ms Maher has made significant contributions as an invited contributor to several Federal Government committees, including most recently the DEWR and DoE National Skills Passport Roundtable in 2024 and the Senate Finance and Public Administration Reference Committee Inquiry on sovereign capability in the Australian tech sector (2023-2024).

Sam has also participated in procurement roundtables with Senator David Pocock and Minister Katy Gallagher in 2023 and 2024. Sam’s ongoing contribution underscores her expertise and active involvement in helping shape key industry and policy discussions.

Sam also serves on several peak industry committees and is the founder and non-executive director of GovTech Australia.
